Description
The Fujita Laboratory at UC San Diego is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to investigate IL-37–mediated immune regulation, with emphasis on regulatory T (Treg) cells, dendritic cells, and tumor immunity.
Our laboratory is recognized for foundational discoveries defining IL-37 as a broad suppressor of innate and adaptive immunity, and we are now uncovering its mechanisms in human Treg stability, immune tolerance, and tumor immune modulation. These studies open a new chapter in cytokine biology and immunoregulation.
The laboratory recently relocated to UCSD, Altman Clinical and Translational Research Institute (ACTRI), and is entering a rapid growth phase. This position is ideal for early-career scientists eager to develop a strong publication record and lead mechanistic and translational NIH-, VA-, and foundation-funded projects.
Research Areas
Mechanistic signaling of IL-37 in human regulatory T cells
Treg stability, Foxp3 regulation, and immune tolerance
IL-37 modulation of dendritic cells
IL-37 effects on tumor microenvironment and CD8 T-cell responses
Translational immunology in autoimmunity and cancer
Key Responsibilities
Design and perform immunological and cellular experiments
Flow cytometry analysis and sorting
