Description

Dear Prospective Fellow,

A postdoctoral fellow position in Cell and Centrosome Biology is available in The Centrosome Biology Group, headed by Dr. Jadranka Loncarek, within the Cancer Innovation Laboratory (CIL) at the Center for Cancer Research (CCR), National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Frederick, Maryland, US.

Loncarek's group focuses on understanding the mechanisms of centrosome biogenesis, using transformed and untransformed human cultured cells as experimental models. The goal of our research is to understand the fundamental principles of centrosome and centriole biology, the involvement of the cycle regulators in the centrosome cycle, and the consequences of the loss of centrosome homeostasis in human pathologies such as cancer. More information about the lab and our publications can be found on the website.

https://ccr.cancer.gov/staff-directory/jadranka-loncarek .

Our laboratory uses multidisciplinary approaches that include biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, and various imaging modalities that include live, super-resolution, expansion, and electron microscopy.

As a postdoctoral fellow, you will join a vibrant scientific research community that offers cutting-edge facilities, mentorship, and training opportunities. You will join ongoing laboratory research, design and conduct research, and write scientific manuscripts. You will have the opportunity to initiate new research directions and partake in our collaborative and interdisciplinary efforts. Don't hesitate to contact us directly to learn more about the current and future projects.
