Title: fellows in peptide chemistry and mass spectrometry

Position Summary: The Neuroscience Center at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) is seeking motivated scientists with PhD or master degree with expertise in peptide chemistry and liquid chromatography - mass spectrometry to fill 1 Postdoctoral Fellows position from now until they are filled.

Our laboratory studies regenerative medicine, Alzheimer’s disease-associated brain neurodegeneration, burn injury, wound healing impaired by diabetes or aging, skin biology / dermatology, neuropathy, inflammation, leukocyte and stem cell biology, and biomaterials using animal and cell-culture models and comprehensive state-of-art facilities for cellular and molecular biology and neuroscience as well as liquid chromatography - mass spectrometers.

Our goal is to identify mechanisms underpinning Alzheimer’s disease, neurodegeneration, chronic wound healing, inflammation, neuropathy, chronic wound healing, inflammation, and develop therapeutic and diagnostic leads to treat these diseases. For more information, please check our website at

The incumbent will join the research team consisted of multidiscipline experts in the field, have ample opportunities to acquire and develop new skills, conduct and publish innovative research as well as to learn grant approaches.

Preferred Qualifications: a PhD or master degree, and hands-on experience and expertise in the study of peptide chemistry and liquid chromatography - mass spectrometry.

We emphasize the key qualifications including integrity, creativity, resourcefulness, enthusiasm, ability to grasp new knowledge and skill rapidly, and ability to identify novel query and leads and solutions to problems. The willingness to share the knowledge and information with and facilitate colleagues, to be responsible is also highly expected. Experience in high-throughput cell-based screenings is a plus.
